JOSEPHINE JENKINS MITCHELL began her practice in Texas in 1976. She has over 25 years of experience handling a wide variety of transactions, with an emphasis on real estate, entity formation, estate planning and probate. Her commercial and residential real estate practice includes acquisitions and sales, exchanges, land use and development, leasing, mortgage lending, and curative title work. She is also experienced in structuring and organizing business entities such as partnerships, limited liability companies, professional associations and corporations. Her estate planning practice includes federal estate and gift tax advice, the preparation of wills, trusts, and related documents, probate proceedings and distribution of assets, and preparing and negotiating martial property agreements and associated asset transfer documents.
Ms. Mitchell obtained her undergraduate degree from Pomona College in California, where she graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa, her masters degree from San Francisco State College, and her Juris Doctor form Southern Methodist University where she graduated with honors and was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Publications Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal.
